Ultimate explorer kit (without solar panels)

The Ultimate Off Grid bundle includes everything you need to power your adventures all year long.

The Ultimate Explorer kit provides two 7.16 KWh batteries making a total battery capacity of 14.3 KWh, twinned with 2400w of pure sine wave 230v AC power (5500w peak output to start high draw devices such as air conditioners) and 2175w of solar input in peak from your own solar panels with the 150/85 Tr Victron MPPT. You could run a large campervan, caravan, narrowboat , shepherds hut or home office / annexe off grid indefinitely in the British and European Spring, Summer and Autumn months. 

The solar power is converted to 25.6v DC power with the use of Victron Smart Solar MPPT 150/85. This allows the 2s2p panel set up to utilise the maximum of 2000 wp the panels can produce in peak sunlight and the MPPT maintains the highest efficiency all day. This will allow you to charge your battery bank from 10-80% in 5 hours. 

This kit gives you components from the best and most reliable brands we have ever tested so we can ensure you are never let down by your solar system and have expandability of both solar if you have more space and battery capacity in the future up to a maximum of 4s4p (57.3 KWh). Additional batteries can be ordered separately in the ultimate explorer kit expansion pack.

It is estimated than the average UK 3 bedroom house uses between 7.5-11 KWh per day to give you an estimate of how large the capacity of the batteries is in this ultimate system.

If you have exceptional high simultaneous load demands this system can be upgraded to a 4000w or 9000w inverter charger. Please contact our support to discuss this if you are interested.

2 x Fogstar Drift 25.6v 280Ah batteries.

1 x 150/85 TR MPPT Victron smart solar charge controller with bluetooth.

1 x Victron Energy Multiplus II 24/3000/70 inverter charger.

1 x 500 amp Victron Smart Shunt.

1 x Victron Lynx 1000 amp distribution bus bar.

1 x Cerbo GX with 1 x GX 50 Touch screen display.

1x 50 amp DC Breaker for solar input.

5x Victron Mega Fuse 500amp and 2x Fuse holders.

1 x Victron Battery Isolation switch (500amp).

2 x 20m solar PV cable with one male and one female connector.

2 x 2.5m 50mm2 cable (red and black).

2x 2.5m 35mm2 cable (red and black).

2 x 25mm2 cable (red and black).

1 x 10-50mm2 cable crimping tool.

1 x cable cutter.

16 x cable lugs and connectors of various sizes.

2 x insulation tape (black and red).

1 x packet of assorted size cable heat shrink wrap.

2 x VE direct 0.9m cables.

1 x VE bus to USB cable.

All victron components comes with most required cables and connectors, where they do not they will be provided by us such as communication cables mentioned above.

Instructions for installation will be provided and all materials are provided to DIY this kit. The only thing you will need is a sharp knife to strip the cables to fit the lugs and connectors.

If you would like to use your vehicle to charge the batteries when on the move please add the Victron Orion from the store, please ensure you order the correct voltages from your battery to this battery. The most common will be 12v to 24v which will charge from a car battery as you drive but if you have a 24v battery in your van/ lorry or narrowboat please check for 24v to 24v orion products to ensure compatibility.
