The power you need wherever you need it. This modular kit is perfect for any application where you want to live comfortably away from the hassle of a grid hookup or having to run your engine or a generator whilst off grid to power your appliances.

This premium DIY solar power kit included everything you need to power the majority off grid applications to make life comfortable when away from power. 

If you need plenty of power for a caravan, campervan, narrowboat or off grid cabins and shepherds huts, this system will allow you freedom from the grid allowing you to go further, for longer and truly enjoy being off grid.

Yout energy will be stored in a premium Fogstar Drift 25.6v 280Ah battery. This will give you over 7KWh of power whenever you need it. This battery uses premium Grade A EVE cells which are the top quality of cells available. Fogstar offers an industry leading 10 year warranty on all Fogstar Drift batteries.

The battery power is converted to AC 230v (mains power) by a Victron Phoenix pure sine wave 24/200va inverter. This can continuously output 1600w (5500w peak) which will power 95% of the devices you would use at home or on the road. This inverter comes with a 5 year Victron manufacturer warranty so you can be sure you will have power when it counts. 

The solar power is provided by two DMECG 500w solar panels which can be connected in series or parallel to allow 1000 watts of power to charge the batteries during peak sun conditions. These panels can be mounted to any flat roof or surface using the mounts included in the Kit or, could be ground mounted using a simple to build rack system if they are used for a static application. DMECG are rated by Bloomberg as a Tier 1 solar panel manufacturer and the panels come with a 30 year performance warranty.

The battery is charged by a 100/50 Victron MPPT smart solar charge controller which will allow up to a maximum charge of 50 amps (1 additional solar panel required to maximise 50 amps in a 24v system).

The battery capacity, charge status and estimated time remaining are given to you accurately using the Victron smart shunt, which along with the Cerbo S-GX (Wifi) and smart solar MPPT will all connect together using V.E Direct cables to allow exceptionally detailed information about your solar power system. This combination will allow you to monitor your system in person and remotely as long as the Cerbo stays connected to your onboard wifi router or hotspot. The victron app and online portal are very quick and intuitive ways to see how your system is doing and see how much power you have remaining.

The kit includes two high quality 250amp bus bars to distribute power safely in your system, one red for the positive side and one black for the negative side. These use M8 bolts and correctly sized connectors will be provided in your kit for all connections.

The Premium Kit includes a Victron battery isolation switch which can safely disconnect the battery from the system to ensure no parasitic drain when you leave the system off for prolonged periods. 

The kit will include all the necessary solar cable with MC4 male and female connectors on one end of each (20m), battery wiring (5m), victron mega fuses x2 and fuse holders, 35 amp DC Breaker for solar input, crimping tool, cable lugs & connectors, shrink wrap and insulation tape and instructions available on the website to allow you to build the kit safely and easily with only your own cable cutters and a sharp knife needed to strip the cable insulation before fitting the lug connectors. 

The benefit of a modular kit like this is it is infinitely upgradeable, if you need more battery capacity for long adventures in the winter with less solar you can purchase an ultimate kit expansion battery. If you want more solar because you have extra space on your roof you can increase the number of panels and the solar charge controller to allow faster charging and if you want a permanent screen showing you your statistics you can purchase the Victron Touch GX 50 and have a screen wherever you need to watch your system without the need for bluetooth on your phone/ laptop or tablet app.
