Essential Backup Power Kit, 12v, 2.5KWh Fogstar ECO battery storage. 500VA Victron energy inverter and Bluetooth monitoring.

The essential Backup power system contains everything you need to safely assemble your very own off grid power system and enjoy free solar energy wherever you need it.

This could be used for emergency power cuts to keep your laptop, tv, phone, fridge and freezer running. This system could also enable you to travel off grid in a leisure vehicle without the need to pay for site fees and shore hookup, and access more remote and exciting locations without the worry of being away from power.

All you will need is your own screwdriver, pliers, sharp knife and a safe dry location to install the equipment. Instructions and diagrams will be included by email following each purchase.

All items will ship together except solar panels which will come with a specialist courrier due to their size and more fragile nature.

Batteries: 2 x 12.8v 100Ah LiFePo4 (LFP) Fogstar ECO Batteries comprised of EV grade prismatic cells with 100 Amp battery management system). 2.56KWh total energy capacity. These batteries have a life expectancy of 4000 cycles (@80% DOD). These batteries come with a 5 year manufacturers warranty.

Inverter: 1 x Victron 12v 500VA to 230v AC inverter with 400 watts of continuous power and a peak power of 900w for 3 seconds to allow it to start induction motors.

Solar Panels: 1 x 425w all black bifacial panel from LONGi. Can be mounted on a ground rack, Roof mounted or mounted onto a suitable vehicle.

Solar mounting Brackets: 4 Aluminium brackets to attach the panel to your mounting system or roof rack.

Solar Charge Controller: 1 x  Victron MPPT SmartSolar 100/30. Which allows fast 440w of power at 12v and efficient charging when connected to the solar panel.

Battery Monitor: 1x Victron Smart Shunt 300 Amps. This provides a way of monitoring your battery state of charge and discharge using the Victron app via bluetooth from any phone or tablet.

Solar PV cable: 2x 10m length (positive and negative) Solar PV cable (4mm2) with MC4 connectors so can plug and play with the provided solar panel.

Misc: All relevant high temperature safe DC tri rated cable; Lugs of all relevant sizes (2.5m (1.25m each red and black) of 35mm2 & 2.5m (1.25m each red & black) 10mm2); Electrical insulation tape; Shrink wrap black and red; Cable crimping tool; 25 Amp DC breaker for solar input; Safety isolation switch (275 Amp); Mega Fuse kit and holder (150 Amp) with spare fuse. 

Extra battery sets, vehicle alternator charger, additional PV cable and additional solar panels can be purchased separately on the website.
